About

COLLECTIVE

Since 2023

LASS serves as a vibrant bridge between emerging regional talent and distinguished artists from across the country. Emerging, regional singers, and professionals are offered  performance opportunities that support artistic growth and community engagement, while audiences benefit from concerts featuring the guest artists. Together, these efforts foster a welcoming, collaborative environment that celebrates artistry at every stage and enriches the cultural landscape of the region.

A Shared Stage, A Richer Community

Artistry thrives when it is shared. By placing developing singers alongside seasoned professionals, the Collective is more than a concert series—it is a creative ecosystem that mentors talent, inspires audiences, and keeps classical vocal music vibrant and accessible right here in Lancaster.

RISING ARTISTS

The Lancaster Art Song Society’s Rising Artists program gives young performers meaningful opportunities to develop their artistry and share their work with local audiences.

We encourage emerging artists as they develop their craft and contribute to art song and related classical traditions, including sacred choral music, standalone vocal works, and opera arias.

Through partnerships with several local colleges and universities, we invite students to perform in our art song recitals, salon concerts, and concert series at the Trust Performing Arts Center.

DISTIGUISHED ARTISTS

The Lancaster Art Song Society presents distinguished professional vocal artists in concert, bringing exceptional artistry and thoughtfully curated musical experiences to audiences throughout the region.

We are pleased to invite audiences to experience the artistry of exceptional professional singers and musicians through a distinctive series of live concerts.

Presented in partnership with the Trust Performing Arts Center and in other venues throughout the region, these performances bring audiences closer to the beauty, emotional richness, and interpretive power of vocal music.  From intimate art song recitals to opera, sacred music, and other memorable vocal works, each concert offers a unique encounter with the human voice and the artists who bring its music to life.
